Well, winter finall decided to show it’s face here in Iowa. Last week we were covered in ice, with a little bit of rain. This week we are supposed to get more snow. Should make for interesting trail conditions. Speaking of trails, I was actually able to get out and ride the trails tonight after work. Nothing like a night ride on trails that have been rained on/snowed on/frozen/thawed/frozen again, etc. Thank goodness there are such a thing as studded tires! However, the studs didn’t keep me from tumbling down a hill. Not sure exactly what happened, but my neck and are are feeling it. The trails were super fast though. Perfect night for riding…not too windy or cold. The only thing that could have made it better was a full moon! I’m actually looking forward to more snow because it will make for better trail conditions. Sure, the icy mix does make for a faster ride. But, it’s sooo unpredictable. You can’t make one mistake or your down. Riding in the snow provides more resistance. I’ve been getting tired of riding the rollers, so can’t wait to get outside some next week. The boringness of the roller riding has made me try a few different things. I guess we will see if the work pays off next season. Happy riding!

Ok, so I’ve decided not to delete my blog. It was more of an impulse thing than anything. I’ll continue to post race recaps and what not. However, blogging will be pretty slim up until the season starts. I hope you all are finally enjoying winter! I am getting sick of rollers already! Take Care!

Happy New Year everyone! I can’t believe how fast this year as flown by. Here’s a list of a few things I’d like to do this year:
- move to Colorado to go to college
- race in a few NRC events
- upgrade
- place in the top 5 at Superweek
- if the move to Colorado is successful, find a women’s elite team to race for out theree
- several other things, but this is just an overview
I hope you all are logging those miles!! This weather is incredible. Time to go find some races to do for the season!
